In September 2015, Mihai became the world champion at super heavyweight, defeating Germany’s Erik Pfeifer by technical KO. Since July 2019, Nistor has transitioned to professional boxing.

I remember in my childhood that the people from my grandparents’ village warned the young ones against approaching the water well, fearing they might accidentally fall into them and drown. I was afraid to go near it, I was afraid of its depth; at times, I couldn’t discern anything below the surface of the well.

The WATER WELLS OF OLTENIA MMXVI photo album includes works by documentary photographers Cristian Bassa and Dorian Delureanu and is the result of an ongoing project to map water wells for community use in the Oltenia region of Romania.
